Another Made in France vintage diecast car brand is Norev. When you spell Norev backwards, it gives you Veron. The Veron brothers founded Norev after WWII in 1946.
Just like Majorette, Norev was founded in Lyon. As with other diecast brands, its current production is now in China.
Here, I share a Norev Mini Jet Renault 9 diecast car from the 1980s.
What attracted me initially was the colour pink, I do not like the colour pink but I find it rather bold and unique for a diecast car. Yes, not bold and unique for a real car but for a diecast car it is.
I also like the car for its simple and modest look.
This has got to be the most legible base amongst all the other diecast brand for the “1/64ish” scale. Probably the only 1/64 diecast car that I need not strain my eyes to look at its base.
